Appropriations Bill

 

 

An appropriations bill is a bill to provide money from the U.S. Treasury to pay for funding authorized by an authorization act.

 

Example:  

 

All appropriations bills are supposed to originate in the House and are not supposed to be considered until after an authorization bill has already passed.
