Government Program Review

All federal government programs should be reviewed routinely both, internally and by Congress, because Congress is required to provide oversight of government programs. Programs should be assessed to determine effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability, impact, use, misuse, and strategy. In addition, Congress should assess whether or not the program is being controlled by the level of government best suited to the task, the extent that the government should control the issue, and whether or not the problem would be better addressed by the private sector. Congress should then make any necessary revisions to the law.
