New Jersey Senator seeks a highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented Correspondence Coordinator assigned to his Newark, New Jersey office. Applicants must possess excellent writing, research, and editing skills, as well as an interest in and knowledge of current events. The applicant must be able to multi-task well and work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment. Primary day-to-day responsibilities include: drafting/editing/tracking letters; assisting with the correspondence process from receipt of request to mailing of final product; coordinating with staff and outside stakeholders for individual letters and large-scale mailing projects. The correspondence coordinator may also be required to assist with general administrative duties in the Senator’s Newark office, including answering phone calls and greeting visitors. Applicants from New Jersey or with significant ties to the state are strongly preferred.
