Campaign Promise

Campaign promises are promises made during a campaign.

Campaign promises are often considered to be empty promises, as they are promises made that may not necessarily be kept. A politician may make a promise that he/she fully intends to keep but due to unforeseeable reasons is unable to be kept. A politician may make a promise that he/she never intends to keep and the false promise was only made to gain support from voters.
