Engrossed Bill

 

An engrossed bill is the final copy of a bill, including any amendments, that has passed in either the House or Senate.  An engrossed bill is then is then delivered to the other chamber for consideration.

 

Example:

The House passed H.R. 1234 this morning, and as we speak, the newly engrossed H.R. 1234 is being delivered to the Senate for consideration.
