The agricultural industry plays an important role in our lives and in our economy. Federal laws and regulations should protect, maintain, and improve the quality, quantity, affordability, and safety of our products, the producers, and the consumers. Regulations should be based on scientific data, best practices, long and short term economic factors, worker and consumer safety; and they should not be overly burdensome to the agricultural industry.
